Open Roundcube Webmail
After logging in:

You’ll see the Webmail Applications screen.

Click Roundcube to open the Roundcube webmail interface.
Go to the Contacts Section

Inside Roundcube, look at the left-hand sidebar.

Click Contacts (this is usually an icon of a person or address book).
This will open your address book.
Start the Import Process

In the Contacts view, look at the top menu bar.

Click Import
(If you don’t see it immediately, it may be under a More (â‹®) or Actions menu depending on your theme.)
Select Your Contacts File

Click Browse or Choose File.

Select your contacts file from your computer:

.csvfor spreadsheets (Gmail, Outlook) -
.vcffor vCard files

Confirm the file is selected.
Configure Import Options
You may see the following options:
✔ Replace Existing Contacts

Unchecked → Adds new contacts without deleting existing ones
-
Checked → Deletes current contacts and replaces them with the imported file
âš Use this carefully to avoid accidental data loss.
✔ Assign to Address Book

Leave as Personal Addresses unless you use multiple address books.
Import the Contacts

Click Import.
-
Wait a few seconds while Roundcube processes the file.

You’ll see a confirmation message once the import is complete.
Verify Imported Contacts

Stay in the Contacts section.

Scroll or search to confirm your contacts are listed.

Open a contact to ensure names, email addresses, and phone numbers imported correctly.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Contacts Did Not Import

Ensure the file is CSV or VCF
-
Re-export the file from the original email provider

Make sure the file is not empty
Names or Emails in Wrong Fields

CSV files may have incorrect column formatting
-
Re-export contacts using “Google CSV” or “Outlook CSV” formats
Import Button Not Visible

Try switching to the Classic Roundcube skin

Check under More / Actions menu
