What you’ll see

  • Chrome: “This site can’t be reached”

  • Edge: “Hmmm… can’t reach this page”

  • Safari: “Safari can’t open the page”

Most common causes

  • DNS not pointing to Eclipse

  • Nameserver change still propagating

  • Domain expired

  • Incorrect A record / CNAME

  • Website service down or blocked by firewall

  • Local network/ISP issue

Quick checks

  1. Try the site on mobile data (rules out your Wi-Fi/ISP)

  2. Try another device

  3. If you’ve changed DNS recently, wait up to 24 hours (sometimes 48)

Step-by-step fix

  1. In Eclipse Web Portal, go to DNS Management

  2. Confirm:

    • @ (root) A record points to the correct server IP

    • www points correctly (A record to the same IP or CNAME to root)

  3. If you use nameservers:

    • Confirm your registrar is using the correct Eclipse nameservers

  4. Confirm the domain is active (not expired)

  5. If DNS is correct and it still fails:

    • Check if your website loads via the server temporary URL (if applicable)

    • Proceed to error logs (see “500 Errors” section)

When to escalate

  • DNS is correct, domain is active, and the site fails on multiple networks

  • Provide support with:

    • Your domain

    • Approx time the issue started

    • Any recent changes
